The Kiski Law Difference
We want your business to succeed and we do everything we can, from a legal business perspective, to help you achieve this goal!
When starting out, we make sure you know what things are going to cost
Many of our startup business basics are offered on a flat fee "price list" basis. This enables you to know up-front what things will cost so you can stay within your budget. We also discuss anticipated billing for projects before beginning our substantive work, so that you can budget as needed.
We have competitive hourly rates
We think that you will find our hourly rates to be very competitive in today's legal marketplace. We are also open to considering alternative fee structures that may help make our services more accessible to you, either on an ongoing basis or for a specific project.
We put you in charge of our fees
We understand that money is a priority for you, so we welcome your call any time and upon request, will always provide an up-to-the-minute itemized report of time spent on your account for that month, so that you know that you are staying within your budget. We also bill in real time, minute-to-minute, and we don't round up every sixth of an hour like a typical law firm, so your costs precisely reflect to the time we spend assisting you.
We help you network
Coming from a business perspective, we know how valuable networking is. We try to connect our clients with trusted professionals and with one another whenever possible. This is an extremely valuable resource for you!
We make sure that you're ready to raise funds
One of the main goals of a start-up is to get the necessary funding to propel your business forward. Our goal is to make sure your files are complete and orderly so that you are always prepared for investors to conduct due diligence. Keeping things in order will also help you when you entertain a due diligence request for a potential acquisition of your company.
We do not bill you for "Chat Time"
Our practice is based upon the strong relationships we build with our clients. Charging you for every word we exchange runs counter to this concept. You will often see entries for "Chat Time" on your billing statement. We truly want you to call when you have questions and not feel that you have to rush through a call if we stray from the substantive topic.
We negotiate on your behalf in all matters
We are experienced at negotiating the terms of agreements and deals with large and small companies on your behalf to help you obtain the terms that are important to you.
We do not mark up costs we incur on your behalf
If we incur a fee on your behalf and then include it on your invoice, we only charge you the amount of the original cost.
